Owned by Katrina Jazayeri and Joshua Lewin, Peregrine is the second restaurant in their award winning hospitality company that includes the nationally recognized Juliet. Peregrine provides equally for those seeking a casual neighborhood experience, or those looking to celebrate a singular evening exploring expert cuisine and welcoming service alongside the discovery of interesting and impeccable wine and beverage.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Boston’s iconic Beacon Hill, Peregrine provides a neighborhood experience as well as a destination not to be missed to visitors to the city.

Menus are designed to be enjoyed leisurely, in courses, with well selected wines to match. The flavors and techniques of the kitchen evoke the regional Italian specialities that influence it as well as the traditions of Catalonia and Corsica, all applied to the seasonality and traditions of New England.

Peregrine is a gratuity free environment, where staff earn living wages and access to career mentorship and ongoing opportunity is prized.

Peregrine is the story of travel and exploration, and the comfort of a shared meal — among friends or strangers — at the end of the road.

Although Mediterranean in nature, Peregrine is more specifically an exploration of the cuisine and culture from the Italian islands of Sardinia and Sicily — as well as the neighboring influences of Corsica and Catalonia.

Named in part for the Peregrine falcon common to these places, the restaurant takes its cues from everything that bird might see; from its perch high in the hills of Cefalù on the Tyrrhenian sea, the wild heart of Sardinia, or anything it may touch during the long span of its journey throughout the region.

Peregrine also means traveler, or pilgrim. Travelers and pilgrims are readily welcomed at Peregrine within The Whitney Hotel, its own destination in a corner of Boston’s iconic Beacon Hill.

Ultimately influenced equally by grand exploration throughout the area, Peregrine also more specifically draws its inspiration from one fateful afternoon spent making fresh pasta, by hand, on a small farm outside the northern Sardinian town of Alghero (where the most popular food is actually a version of Catalonia’s famed paella). Peregrine owners, Katrina Jazayeri and Joshua Lewin, fell in love with the hospitality and the cuisines of the region, over hand shaped pasta, wine made on site in small batches, and the constant journeying back and forth along the sea. Peregrine is an opportunity for connection among people — friends and strangers — through food and wine with a purpose.

The kitchen operates seasonally, from scratch, and by hand. The menus are designed to be enjoyed leisurely, in courses, and the service team is ready to provide warmly, skillfully, and equally for those seeking a casual drop-by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or for those celebrating a special evening out — like being invited to a family meal.

At Peregrine the discovery of wine is as paramount to the discovery of food. Focused on smaller production, often from natural, organic, or biodynamic producers, the wine is here to tell and embellish our story.

As much as Peregrine at The Whitney Hotel looks to a series of faraway experiences, and turns these memories into discoveries to be shared — our hospitality comes just as much from the heart and the home, welcoming travelers to Boston as we have been welcomed in our own travel.

Peregrine is a gratuity free environment, where staff earn living wages and access to career mentorship and ongoing opportunity is prized. Part of the growing and award winning group by the team behind Juliet in nearby Somerville, Peregrine is a Juliet + Company production.
